“All-Star Basements is the only company I will work with when it comes to my basement. I moved to Rochester, MN from Hawaii and put all my savings into a move in ready home. Nobody prepared me for basements or a basement on a wet hill. A year in and it flooded. After getting multiple estimates, I discovered this house had a known issue. I was quoted all sorts of huge numbers for massive projects. I was made to feel guilty when I was overwhelmed. All-Star came in and listened. They have never judged, pushed, or shamed me into a purchase. They provided me with options. We came up with a plan together to fix the immediate problem, and they provided me with a blue print for suggested next steps. “Our basement flooded in June of 2024 from a significant amount of rain during the month. After we cleaned up our basement we got several bids from basement contractors including Tom from All-Star basements. There was no lengthy presentation to sit through, Tom simply explained the problem, what they offer for services and there was no pressure buy additional services or products. The day of the project, they had 8 crew members working from 8 am to 5:30 pm hauling thousands of pounds of concrete, rock and cement up and down the stairs and were able to complete the work in one day! The crew was also able to tie in our radon system exhaust pipe to one of the sump basket lids. We had another radon test run after the work was complete and our radon levels went from 3 down to 1.3 average. They were very professional, courteous and also followed up a week later to see how everything was going. “I work at an assisted living facility and we had a stained concrete sidewalk where one panel was sinking. I called All-Star and they came out to look at the sidewalk the next day and actually fixed the sidewalk two days later. The salesman was great answering all my questions and the service guys were friendly and cleaned up the area really well. The sidewalk is nice and level again. Being honest, this is not a cheap service but the alternative was to bust up old concrete and pour new concrete and hope it matches the old stain. Of course I didn’t think I would get anywhere since it was a holiday, but to my surprise Jeff called me back within 15 minutes and made an appointment to come see our basement that Wednesday! “The day we were getting our new carpet installed there was a torrential rainstorm and when the pad was taken out of the basement the floor was wet. “We just recently moved into the home we are purchasing, ahead of closing because of delays… The sellers allowed us to do so. Unfortunately, a heavy rain revealed water issues in the basement!! The sellers graciously offered to add gutters and regrade the side of the house where the seepage was… We additionally felt we needed expert/professional help to determine what was going on and what was needed to fix the problem before we bought into this home and its foundation!
The All-Star company was able to respond to our need immediately, with a willingness to get someone out asap to assess the situation! This is impressive on its own as 4 other companies I had called before them were too busy to get there anytime soon! When the rep, Kenny, arrived he was on time, warm and friendly yet ready to get down to the business at hand. He thoroughly investigated the situation, inside and out, asked questions and made comments on what he saw. Very quickly it was easy to see that he knew what he was looking at, super knowledgeable, and not there to just try and sell a product but there to truly help us! His final assessment was that we really did not need All-Star’s services at this point and what the seller was already doing was going to be the best fix up front, at this time. He even gave us detailed pointers on how to do the best we could with what we were attempting! He did suggest that in the future, if the problem continued even with our fixes, there was something they would be happy to offer to us. So, he wrote up bid, described the details of how the work would be done, defined in detail what we would be paying for and even offered discounts if we were flexible in our dates of service as well as willing to let them post a sign in the yard!
What company does this anymore? Sends out a rep quickly, who is knowledgeable, truthful, and concerned about our situation more that the almighty dollar? Willingly offers discounts!
